Why, yes, you did see this correctly. There is another update within a month of the last! What do you know? I'm actually getting better at this stuff.

So the last time we talked, I talked a pretty big game. Now I am here to catch you up and get you into my court for what is going down.
First off, my apologies for going into self-exile for a long while here. Many of you probably have seen updates on Facebook or Twitter, but I've been largely absent here. I'm hoping to change that, along with many other things, very soon.
This may actually be the closest I've ever made a posting to another posting in a long time. It may even be the first, but let's not talk about that right now.
I've got a couple updates in this one, so feel free to read on! So, it's been a while. Unfortunately, life seems to be getting in the way of actually being very active online, which of course hurts both myself and you as a reader and a follower. I do apologize for that. I try to get updates to my Facebook page and twitter as often as possible, so always remember to have those liked and followed for more current information.
This weekend, I had a wonderful time at the first annual La Crosse Comic Con at the Main Public Library in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This was my first convention I attended that had a steady stream of attendees from the time we opened the doors in the morning until we closed at lunch and again afterwards to the end of the day.
There's a statement out there about the best laid plans of mice and men. Such a statement is going to be used in this situation. I had set up a goal for myself to add to this blog more this year, and here it is the middle of September. You see how well I do with self goals that don't deal with fiction writing.
Okay, so things happen, things continue to happen, I do believe this is called life. Unfortunately I've been missing out on my postings for a while... I think I found a New Year resolution for myself...
So here we are again, in a brand new year.
I've been absent for a while, unfortunately, due to circumstances both personal and profession related. But, I am here now, so let's get this thing rolling. I swear, there is a rule of three. When something bad happens in your life, expect at least two more. Well, at least that is my experiences.
First off, sorry for the delay to anyone who is following my ramblings about nothing. I didn't expect to be absent for so long. Secondly, it's good to be back... from wherever I was.
Finish one book, start/complete another. Sometimes it's both a gift and a curse to have this mind of mine that decides at 11:55 pm "No, you're not going to sleep, you got a plot to straighten out."
Gotta love those times. Since there has been such a great response to the giveaway I held on Goodreads last month, I've set up another promo for my books. I have a limited supply on hand, but will be a nice way to start a collection for those who like autographed books.
The first ever giveaway I've done seems to be a resounding success. Around 600 entries and, sadly, only 2 winners.
Never done this before so here we go. Doing a giveaway running through the end of March through my Goodreads profile. If you're interested in getting one of two signed copies, sign up.
Well, we are finally at the finish line. Dark Awakening is now available for purchase through my direct estore. Amazon and Barnes & Noble links will be added to novels page when they become active, as well as Kindle and Nook versions.
You just have to love holidays where the one specific point of it is to celebrate happiness and togetherness. Okay, maybe I'm bitter, so what? I'm a writer. I have an excuse.
Unfortunately, as you can see, this is not a release blog. I am on the final edit/read through/review of Dark Awakening this week, and once that is done, we will be going to print. So due to some unforeseen issues, mainly being laid up in bed with a bucket for a few days, the final editing and releasing of Dark Awakening has been pushed back. On a good note though, to celebrate the authors birthday, Life Coin: the Short Story will be offered FREE on February 2nd. Yes, Groundhogs day. No jokes please.
Welcome to all who survived the end of the world and the zombie apocalpyse that followed. Hope you are all well and spending some quality time with your friends and family. If you are getting any ereaders for in your stockings, check out my books on both Kindle and Nook. Plus, get Life Coin: the Short Story for Free for the next couple days!
That is all for now. Be well and let's keep moving forward! Whether you believe the rumors or theories or not, you have heard the world is coming to an end on 12/21/12...... or not.
We join today's journey with our hero, tired and overworked, struggling to set right what once went wrong.
Okay, maybe a little over dramatic, but come on, I'm a writer, I have free range to be a little eccentric from time to time. Greetings and salutations, thanks for visiting my site again. Today is a quick update and some input on where you can find my stories/novels.
A writer's tale by J. J. Wilder. Well maybe more a tale by all authors or writers anywhere. Still working on the editing and rewriting. But there is good news, everybody!
So here we are two weeks later, I'm hoping this becomes a regular type of thing, but unfortunately it may not. I do have a full time job plus writing books you know? ;-)
